This comprehensive Galapagos day tour offers the perfect balance of aquatic thrills and unique coastal hiking. Your journey begins with deep-water snorkeling around Champion and Enderby Islets, two locations renowned for their high visibility and exceptional biodiversity. Here, you’ll swim alongside playful sea lions, sea turtles, and various ray species. Following a delicious onboard lunch, you’ll disembark at Punta Cormorant on Floreana Island. A naturalist guide will lead you past an expansive saltwater lagoon filled with graceful flamingos, ending at a breathtaking white sand beach that serves as a vital nesting site for green sea turtles.
The Journey Step-by-Step
08:00 AM — Departure & Navigation
Meet our team in Puerto Ayora for a safety briefing. We then embark on an approximate 1.5-hour boat ride toward the pristine waters of Champion Islet. Enjoy the coastal scenery and keep an eye out for marine life along the way.
09:30 AM — Champion & Enderby Snorkeling
Dive into your first snorkeling session at Champion Islet, famous for its playful sea lions and colorful reef fish. Afterward, a short 30-minute navigation takes us to Enderby Islet for a second snorkeling opportunity, where you might encounter sharks and rays.
12:30 PM — Onboard Lunch
Recharge your energy with a hearty lunch served onboard. You’ll have the choice of a chicken, beef, fish, or vegetarian meal, accompanied by salads and fresh fruit, before we head to the main island.
01:30 PM — Punta Cormorant Hike
Disembark for a 1.5-hour guided nature walk. You will explore a beach colored green by olivine crystals, visit one of the largest flamingo populations in the archipelago at the saltwater lagoon, and stroll along a white sand beach used by nesting turtles.
04:00 PM — Arrival in Santa Cruz
After a 1.5-hour return navigation where you can relax and review the incredible professional photos taken during the day, we conclude our tour back in Puerto Ayora.
