The Experience

The 360° San Cristóbal Tour is the most comprehensive way to explore the geological and biological diversity of the archipelago’s capital island. This full-circle navigation takes you through deep-water channels and shallow coral reefs. From the majestic heights of Cerro Brujo to the legendary snorkeling waters of Kicker Rock, you will witness a parade of Galapagos wildlife: hammerhead sharks, playful dolphins, blue-footed boobies, and manta rays. It is an immersive journey into the wild heart of the Eastern Galapagos.

Your Adventure Itinerary

07:30 AM — Setting Sail

Meet our team at the Hammerhead Shark pier in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. We board our yacht to begin the full loop around the island’s 558 km² of volcanic coastline.

Deep Snorkel at Kicker Rock

Navigate to the imposing León Dormido (Kicker Rock). Dive into the natural channel to spot hammerhead sharks, blacktip sharks, and groups of stingrays. The vertical rock walls underwater are covered in colorful invertebrate life.

Cerro Brujo & Sardina Bay

Behold the majestic Cerro Brujo from the boat and disembark at Bahía Sardina. Enjoy a 10% beach walk where you can relax on white sand and swim in turquoise waters teeming with reef fish.

Punta Pitt & Rosa Blanca (90% Snorkeling)

The journey continues to Punta Pitt. If conditions allow, enjoy experiential fishing with the captain. We conclude with a snorkel at the organic beach of Rosa Blanca, a hidden gem for turtle and ray encounters.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to stay in San Cristóbal to take this tour?
Yes. Because the tour departs early (07:30 AM) and lasts 8 hours, we recommend staying at least 2 nights on San Cristóbal Island to ensure you can join the departure and rest afterwards.
Are hammerhead sharks guaranteed at Kicker Rock?
While wildlife sightings are never 100% guaranteed, Kicker Rock is one of the best places in the world to see them. Sightings are very frequent throughout the year, especially with good visibility.
Is the boat navigation long or difficult?
This is an 8-hour total journey, so you will be on the boat for a significant portion of the day. The navigation is scenic, but if you are sensitive to motion sickness, we recommend taking medication 30 minutes before boarding.
Is the experiential fishing part of the tour?
Yes, the captain may set up fishing lines near Punta Pitt. This is a traditional “pesca vivencial” activity allowed by the National Park. If a fish is caught, it is often used for the lunch on board!
What is the difference between boat categories?
Economic boats are smaller and more basic. Standard and Superior categories offer larger vessels, faster engines, and more comfortable seating and facilities for the long navigation.
