The longer option adds three full diving days. Few boats in the fleet offer it at all.
Camera station
A dedicated station with separate rinse tanks, and hot showers waiting at the ladder.
Land time
North Seymour and the Santa Cruz highlands are in the schedule, not sold as extras.
The boat
Built around the routine
The Galapagos Master runs on a rhythm rather than a route: breakfast, briefing, two dives, lunch, two more when the sea allows, dinner, sleep. Thirty-two metres and sixteen divers, with a dive deck that has hot showers, rinse tanks and a camera station where a rig can stay assembled all week.
Eight cabins, four on the upper deck and four on the lower. The crew is a captain, an engineer, dive masters, a chef and a steward. What sets her apart is the ten-night option: three extra days of diving on a schedule most boats compress into seven, which is the difference between seeing Darwin twice and settling in there.

How the week runs
Day 1Embark
Boarding and check dive
On board between 14:00 and 14:30, then introductions, the boat and safety briefings, and lunch. A shallow check dive usually follows in the afternoon to sort weighting and gear.

Day 2Seymour
Two dives and a land tour
Breakfast, briefing, two dives, lunch. The afternoon goes ashore on North Seymour for the blue-footed boobies and frigatebirds — the one day the diving stops early.

Days 3–6or 3–9
Four dives a day
The core of the trip. Breakfast and briefings, two dives, lunch and a surface interval, two more in the afternoon where conditions allow. Four days on the seven-night trip, seven days on the ten-night one.

Two dives, then the highlands
A final morning in the water, then ashore for the Santa Cruz highlands and time in Puerto Ayora. Day 7 on the seven-night trip, day 10 on the longer one.

Sites are decided on the day by the crew, around sea conditions and park scheduling. Four dives is the ceiling, not a promise, and nothing in the water is guaranteed.

Cabins
Where you sleep
Eight cabins for sixteen divers, four on the upper deck and four on the lower. Upper gets more light; lower sits closer to the waterline and moves less, which some people prefer on the long crossings north.
