Built for one job
When a diver asks for a boat that handles the hard end of Galapagos diving without thinning out the support around it, the Tiburon Explorer is one of the few names we hand over. Built for diving in 2020, 16 guests, and the same note in review after review: the crew help with tanks and gear, and the briefings take safety seriously. Across a week of six a.m. starts and real current, that is the whole difference.
The deck follows the same logic — a station per diver, a camera table with charging points, separate rinse tanks, hot showers waiting at the ladder, and two pangas that put you at the site instead of near it. Nine ocean-view cabins handle the rest. The comfort stays in its lane: it supports the diving instead of competing with it.

The week, by depth
Darwin
The reason most divers come. Hammerheads school along the wall, and whale sharks pass through in season, roughly June to November. You hook in, stay low, and let the traffic come to you.
Wolf
Cleaning stations, walls and constant movement: hammerheads, Galapagos sharks, silkies, and schools of jacks and creolefish dense enough to dim the light.
Isabela & Fernandina
Colder and stranger than the north. Marine iguanas grazing on the bottom, mola mola in the cold upwellings, rays, turtles, and sea lions that decide the dive is about them.
Nothing in the water is guaranteed. These animals show up often enough to plan a week around, not often enough to promise.
Eight days, seven nights
Arrival
Fly into Baltra, board in the afternoon, and settle in. No diving on day one.
Check dives and the run north
Two dives at Baltra North to sort weights and gear, then a land visit at North Seymour before the long overnight transit to Wolf.
Wolf Island
A full day on the walls and cleaning stations: hammerheads, Galapagos sharks, silkies and dense schooling fish.
Darwin Island
The day the trip is built around. Two dives at Darwin, then back to Wolf overnight.
Wolf again, then west
A second full day at Wolf before the crossing to Cabo Douglas and the cold water on the western side.
Cabo Douglas and Punta Vicente Roca
Marine iguanas grazing on the bottom at Cabo Douglas, then mola mola, turtles and seahorses at Vicente Roca. Colder, slower, stranger.
Cousin’s Rock and Santa Cruz
Last dives of the week, then ashore: the Santa Cruz highlands, and an evening in Puerto Ayora with dinner on your own. Back on board at 8:30 pm.
Departure
Transfer to Baltra airport and the flight back to the mainland.
Departures run Saturday to Saturday. Sites and dive counts shift with conditions — the crew decides on the day, not the brochure.

Where you sleep
Nine cabins, all with an ocean view, split across the main and lower decks. Private bathroom in every one, and enough space to leave a camera rig assembled overnight.
