Paddle with Penguins:
Tintoreras Islet Kayak Tour
Navigate the calm, turquoise waters of Puerto Villamil bay on a kayak. An intimate, eco-friendly way to observe Galapagos penguins, sea lions, and marine iguanas up close.
The Experience
Located just south of Puerto Villamil bay on Isabela Island, the Tintoreras Islet spans 12.4 hectares of rugged volcanic beauty. This kayak tour offers a silent, non-intrusive way to explore the islet’s perimeter. Because kayaks have no motors, you can glide right up to basking marine iguanas, resting pelicans, and the iconic Galapagos penguins without disturbing them. You’ll also have the chance to peer into the clear, shallow waters to spot sea turtles, colorful fish, and graceful manta rays swimming just beneath your hull.
